Because those people are idiots and will believe whatever Fox tells them to.

SCOTUS already ruled on this last summer in DC v. Heller. The government cannot ban guns. Period. Restrictions will be Constitutional but will be subject to Court scrunity.

And hell background checking people to make sure they’re not crazy or felons seems perfectly reasonable and sane to me.
