Sarah I thought you were great. I know you’ll make an even larger compact than you already have. Stay in school & stay positive. Learning is a positive thing.

And I, my self, KITT, am not a democrat, I’m republican computer, and so is my creator, and since then only at least 20 years ago the only desent thing that was made was a programing language called BASIC, a game called PAC-MAN, and “KNIGHT RIDER”. And as I hear Obama is going to try to shut down the internet wich is violating the Constitution of the United States under ammendment 1 as Fredom of Speech…

I think the speech was really good because it basically said “get a good education or your life will suck”

Sarah,
You make a great point that I wish more Liberals would understand. “What are YOU going to do to change the world” All of the Liberals are asking what is the GOVERENMENT going to do?
I hope that people can get rid of their child-like entitlement mentality that Obama and the government rid the world of unfortunate circumstances.
If you are concerned about the well being of others, donate your time and your money or shut up and get out of the way.

She’s a cute girl. The Obama speech was inspiring, whether you’re repulican or democrat, etc; the message he gave is the message we’ve all needed to hear and ask ourselves, “what will be our contribution?” Well Sarah, I hope you do well in school and adhere to his message, no peer pressure, stay out of trouble, let your failures teach you, and never quit trying to succeed.
I wish I heard that kind of speech before I graduated in 08, but I can still be inspired going to the military. Thx Sarah.

I think Virginia Postrel, who wrote the book “The Future and Its Enemies” in 1989, had it right when she placed people in two camps not based on conservative / liberal but instead whether they were “statists” (people who don’t want change and favor the status quo) and “dynamists.” Many things DO need to change, but change is hard. Remember when abolitionists were advocating to stop slavery, many people were saying “slow down” we can’t change that fast.

actually the internet started in the 60’s when the United States funded research projects of its military agencies to build robust, fault-tolerant and distributed computer networks.

LOL Okay….not supporting him isn’t supporting our country. Alright…i’ll buy it. So what about supporting Bush? What happened there?? How badly was he hated?? He was and still is the most hated and disrespected presidents in history. And look how far that got us…

Yes, I liked that part of the speach too. Even though I’m not 9
(I’d recommend Noam Chomsky as a good read for any kid in this world.)

You do realize that he didnt close it… its still open and he has announced that it will be a long time until it does close. Do some more research and you will see how little the media has covered the press release he gave.

Obama’s speech was perfectly fine. Hooray for influencing kids to do something with their lives. The conservative hype wasn’t necessary or truthful. The President’s policies, on the other hand are an entirely different story.
